Ivory flakes glinted in their graceful decent toward earth. Portrayed in slow motion, their dance was controlled by the simplest blow of wind. Each their unique pattern, impossibly tiny. Unbelievable each had their own different ornamentation. Like the many equines that dot this earth, unlike any other. Not a single pattern of the flesh, or twisting of the mind could be the same. A fresh blanket of pallid flakes covered the terra, a brilliant glow illuminated the clearing. It was almost blinding, covering everything in sight. It accumulated in clumps upon the tall oak's branches. Looming over head, only the tiny space below its ceiling of twigs was there relief. Relief from the tormenting chill and blinding beauty. The allure was only tainted by the impossible cold that went with it. Zephyr cut through any foolish life-form that dared venture out. Right down to the bone, into the soul. She doesn't look, she doesn't see
Opens up for nobody
Figures out, she figures out
Narrow line, she can't decide
Everything short of suicide
Never hurts, nearly works
You could call him foolish, but he was really only curious. Yet curiosity killed that cat, and it can do the same for anyone else. In this impossible cold, you could stand yourself to death. A heart could collect ice, and just stop. Stop dead, without warning. The young stag was barley a yearling, and it showed in his intelligence. Shivering and exited, the spotted tyke raced around the clearing. Ebon pillars made trenches into the snowfall. Frame jumped upward, twisting mid air, and coming back to earth with a shower of ivory flakes. Tiny bod galloped back and forth, kicked up clumps of snow as he went. A shower of pallid fireworks followed his every movement. Not even the bitter cold could stop his ecstasy. His first winter, snow! He had never see such a wondrous thing!A part of you that'll never show
You're the only one that'll ever know
Take it back when it all began
Take your time, would you understand
What it's all about
Dancing around in his own little world, the tyke was quite a sight. He stood barley over 14 hands, though that wasn't even close to how big he would get. Bulk was well build, resembling an Arabian but build like a Mustang. Bronze cranium was small and refined, with wide set tawny optics. Orbs were slightly larger than normal, and filled with ecstatic youth. They showed every emotion plain as the sea, tawny depths ran straight to soft heart. A heart ready for molding, not yet sure of what he liked and disliked. Didn't know wether he preferred apples over carrot, or chestnuts over blacks. Neck was short and curved, very muscular already. Bod was a rich bronze hue, with ivory spots across his rump. It looked as if someone had thrown a bucket of white paint on him. At the moment he was a puffball, ready for the harsh winter ahead. Pillars were long and well boned, amber slowly turning to ebon daggers. Banner and whiplash were thick and long, black as the night sky.Something is scratching it's way out
Something you want to forget about
No one expects you to get up
All on your own with no one around
'Finally! Freedom!' Anoki continued his rampage, glad to be free of the watchful eyes of his damn. Stopping to collapse onto a thick blanket of undisturbed snow, his breathing was labored from the hard galloping. A slick layer of sweat had formed over his coat, sending a shiver down his spine. Sighing with relief, pillars thrashed wildly. Bulk rolled back and forth, throwing clumps of earthy-sludge around him. He had waited long to get away from the rules and restrictions of his mother. It seemed foolish to him she watched them like a hawk. Kuruk, his twin, was sick. It was understandable she watch over him. Anoki just plain couldn't understand why she was so protective!
